The regular (machine-) embroidered patch is the most traditional type of patch used by armed forces worldwide. Regular embroidered patches are affordable, durable and flexible, making them an ideal type of patch to wear on (work) uniforms. Embroidered patches can be washed if necessary, but the use of hooks and loops allows for easy removal of the patch from the uniform if needed.
This type of patch is the best choice for designs with clear lines (e.g. cartoon-style designs), with a moderate level of detail (very small facial features such as eyes and very small letters can be challenging) and with a limited number of colors. Most regular embroidered patches have up to 9 colors, but a larger number is possible at an additional cost.
Regular embroidered patches have a very nice texture and using the right mix of thread colors a little depth effect can be created. Furthermore a "3D-embroidered" effect can be created by stitching a sponge-like material behind certain parts of a design. This works best for parts with a larger / wider surface. Shown here are some examples of such 3D embroidery:
Other options include different types of materials (coton background, felt background, fully embroidered, gold and silver metallic thread, neon thread, glow-in-the-dark thread), two types of borders (a thick merrowed border of a thin cut-out border) and different types of backings (sew-on, plastic, heat-seal, paper or hooks and loops).
Our minimum ordering quantity for regular embroidered patches is 20pcs
